The Wilmot Mystery
examining a family line with some notable members
My involvement in this particular project began when I met Lady Meriel Wilmot-Wright (pictured below) at a dinner party given by mutual friends in Chichester. On discovering that she and I shared an interest in family history research I offered to assist in overcoming the deadlock situation that she had reached in her search for her Wilmot ancestry and through our combined efforts a little more progress was made. This fascinating family has several notable forebears and a close look into their backgrounds has left us with several mysterious trails to follow.
The project also pursues the ancestry of Lady Meriel's late husband, Sir Roy Wright, who was a former Chancellor of Melbourne University and a renowned Physiologist.
An e-Book concerning them all can be seen under the 'Publications' tab above. Meanwhile research continues. Visit the Project's website to learn more.
